This is an instructor evaluation program that can be completed in 1 to 2 days depending upon schedules and the level of the crossover.  Candidates must complete the SSI Tech XR Instructor Crossover home study materials prior to attending the course.  Candidates will be tested and if successful certified at the TechXR Level that is equivalent to their current certification level.Prerequisites: The crossover candidate must be certified and in active status as a technical instructor with an accepted agency and certified as an active recreational instructor with an RSTC member agency.  Additionally, the candidate will need to meet all of the experience requirements required by the appropriate level of the SSI TechXR Instructor Standards.  The 3 core levels of TechXR Instructor are:

• Advanced Nitrox (140, 100%O2 & limited stage deco)
• Extended Range (180 fsw/55 msw & 100% O2)
• Trimix (330 fsw/100 msw with any helium based mix & up to 100% O2)

Course Overview: Each crossover evaluation will consist of written testing, watermanship assessment and the planning and conducting of at least 1 technical dive approaching their level of certification. 

Dates: 7 - 8 Aug 2010 (lower division crossovers can be completed in 1 day)

Course cost: Varies with level – $500.00 to $750.00 (gas fills, textbooks, charter fees, c-cards and travel expenses are not included)
