Classes Offered

Introduction:

MAX offers a full range of courses from a variety of different training agencies including instructor qualification courses at nearly every level we teach.  From the beginning diver to technical cave diver, technical wreck and Trimix we have course for divers at every level.  The list of courses is extensive and especially at the technical levels, it can be difficult to decipher, so we have placed our primary offerings in a brief bulleted list here with a very brief description of the courses and the prerequisites for enrollment in them.  To further simplify your search we have divided the courses into three divisions: Recreational, Technical and Public Safety.  In each division you will find the diver level courses followed by the instructor level courses.

Recreational diving courses include entry level, advanced and specialty courses that are conducted at depths less than 130 feet within the no decompression limits specified by most dive tables, using regular breathing air or nitrox mixes containing less then 40% oxygen and not conducted in overhead environments.

Transitional courses: There are several transitional courses to include limited penetration wreck diver, cavern diver and advanced nitrox diver.  Some agencies consider these recreational and some consider them technical in nature.  For your convenience, we have placed these courses in both the recreational and technical course catalogues.

Technical diving courses are those classes that fall outside the restrictions listed above.

Public Safety Courses are courses for military, fire, rescue, police and other personnel employed in the fields of public safety or homeland security.
